Where is iridescent pearl

So likely.. As someone mentioned. I'll try again and see if I was just lucky. Now, both of these go for relatively high prices on the AH; not 7g as a poster would have you believe at least, not on Silver Hand , but g each, which I was unwilling to pay. As it happened, my level 41 Paladin hadn't yet done the Southshore quests htat require killing lots of Murlocs and Daggerspine Nagas, so I headed up there after getting lots of Spider's Silk.

Plus of course the incidental goobers that popped up when you were trying to hit something else. And not a single Green item dropped along the way. But I did get the quests done, which was worth a little, and I did get the pearl. Comment by Allakhazam i guess this wont help low levels much but my best farming spot is beach west of southshore. Comment by Allakhazam Found these pearls in the instance dungeon in the Strand.

I think both came off Snapclaw's. I used WR to upload todays info on them. On the vendor selling pearls:Someone sells to vendor and till you leave or sell another item you can still buy that item back for what they paid you for it. The vendors listed are popular "unload" spots.

This should be looked into if thats the case. None sell them. Comment by Allakhazam Got 5 in AH for 1g. Comment by Allakhazam I think the price for these in the AH on any server is ridiculous! I wish Blizzard would make items like this slightly less rare or hard to get.

Comment by Allakhazam Guess what? I sell theese pearls at AH with a 7 Gold buyout price. Im playing on a medium populated server in alliance side, the whole thing was started with the spider silk craftable boots, the mats contains pearls so i read this page and went to farm Bluegill Murlocks. I didnt counted the Tangy Meats at farmtime but i just realized, Wow i got gold from selling pearls at AH and selling vendor trash from murlocs, some green as well and they also dropped one blue.

So now i got as much gold that i can totally own the Iridescent Pearls at AH , If i see one below 7 gold buyout price i buy it and take it out with 7g buyout price : Its a really good gold income, This is my second character lvl 32 human lock and now i have gold only with selling pearls, this is a great deal belive me.

Thats true, at the begining you should farm a lot to get the basic money about gold , then you can afford to bouyout the other player's Pearls and take it out at your prices. Comment by Allakhazam any clue where I can find these pearls? Must have killed before I found it, so rare.

Comment by Allakhazam I think you have to be the right level for the creature you are killing to get the pearl drop. Kill kill kill. Kill any creature round there and you seem to get clams. Tried other areas too, same result. Then with my alt character i went killing in a level 20 area, she was level 20 too and bingo - got clams with pearls again, once she'd progressed - no more pearls. So my theory is, go for creatures that drop clams around the same level that you are and you should get some decent drops.

The annoying thing is that my leather working patterns requiring pearls seemed to arrive after i'd received pearl drops and sold them Likewise on jade and citrine.

Comment by Allakhazam This is just great And not to mention those greedy bastards that start making them worth more, so then everybody thinks thats the actual prise for it so ppl start setting the prices too high. Kolg is not lootable after he is killed.

At least not for horde members as I tried 3 times. Comment by Allakhazam I have found 3 of these pearls in Gnomeregan. They were Grime-Encrusted Objects, and when used in the machines to remove the grime, I was pleasantly surprised to find these! Comment by Allakhazam Who was the crackhead who paid 50 gold for an Iridescent Pearl? I can use a mount in another 10 or so levels. Edited, Tue Jan 18 Comment by Allakhazam Well the pearls are elusive unless ya want lessers. I'm rather disgusted and flustered with the general drop rate of ingredients needed for crafting and AH prices on items necessary to craft with.

Soon to close account if this continues. Neither of these vendors sell the pearls. Perhaps they did at one time but they do not anymore. Comment by Allakhazam Dec 19, to Got a 50 thick shelled clams drop update from the stupid bluegill murlocs in the wetlands.

They did drop 15 greens and a gargoyle's bite, but no pearls ARGH. Comment by Allakhazam Got 17 clams from bluegill marsh, got 2 Iridescent and 1 small lustrous.

Good deal,eh? Comment by Allakhazam I have good mesage to you. I like right names.. It is possible.. I kill monstrous or March and this atem i loot from the big mouth clam. I kill 20 mobs.. And you? Ty for this page Didn't record which mob dropped which clam. Got 50 tangy clam meat, 3 small lusterous pearls and 2 iridescent pearls. Probably going to collect another 50 today. Whole poiant was to collect Iridescent Pearls. Comment by Allakhazam After grinding again but then to Swamp of sorrow all the way to the east murlocs i killed the whole beach 4 times and gues what there was a drop x8 times Next time all grind at Swamp of sorrows.

Comment by Allakhazam My party picked up about Comment by Allakhazam Well, I'm going to kill turtles and naga in Black Fathon because I need to raise my cooking skill a few points and tangy clam meat is one of the only things left I can obtain to raise it. So while I collect the clam meat, I'll be looking out for iridescent pearls. I'll let you know. Once again all in Bluegill Marsh.

Edited, Tue Apr 26 Comment by Allakhazam Someone said these could be found by fishing in certain spots. Any validation on that? View in 3D Find upgrades Quick Facts. Sell Price: 7 This item can be fished in Azshara Basically any pearls are most easily obtained from clams dropped by fishy mobs of appropriate levels.

Comment by Thottbot So essentially, by the time you're likely to pick these up from a drop, you're too high a level to be interested in the magic items they let you craft? There are mobs of Naga types that drop clams. I got a golden pearl, 3 iridescent pearls, and a black pearl in a hour of hammering. There is also some good mining in the cave there. Just don't let anybody know that I told you this!

Comment by Thottbot I finally got one of these form a drop Blackfathom Deeps, from one of the beasties there. Otherwise, I just watch the AH for a deal. Wratha - Skywall. Comment by Thottbot After buying four of these in the auction house and reading the comments here, I went to the wetlands and killed Murlocks for hours to see if getting an iridescent pearl naturally was even possible.

Also, I thought that the giant clams under the water just off the coast seemed like the logical place to find them. I would say that I got a clam off of every third-ish murlock I killed, and I had about twenty of them before I opened them all to find two small lustrous pearls and one iridescent pearl!

I never found anything but clam meat in the giant clams on the sea floor, opened about ten of those. Glad I found one naturally, was spending too much time in the auction house looking for these! Comment by Thottbot I went back to the wetlands today in search of another iridescent pearl. I found one in the second giant clam that I found on the sea floor. I also slayed Merlocks for hours and collected 27 hard shelled clams.

I waited to open them all at once so that I wouldn't get frustrated with finding only clam meat. It's still a pain in the butt, I'm still bidding on them in the auction house because they're so useful, but now I've found two iridescent pearls in two days on the wetlands coast.

Comment by Thottbot Just to confirm, you can in fact get this from the turtles in the river just east of southshore. I ran it about 3 times and found 1 pearl. They're in the thick shell clams they drop. Comment by Thottbot Farming for iridescent pearls is what makes the small lustrous pearls so ludicrously cheap in AH, because you pull out three of these for every iridescent pearl found in a clam.

Then when you get to the camp make a right and go over the bridge. Stick to the shore and go north until you reach the NAGA. When you kill them they drop the clams. Out of 15 clams got 2 Irridecent and 1 black pearl.

Good drop rate and easy to farm. Comment by Thottbot I thought pearls come from oysters not clams? Comment by Allakhazam i found one in a chest in vul'gol ogre mound in duskwood, how it got there, dont ask me XD. Comment by Allakhazam WEll, as these were the highest drop rate and I wanted some and didnt want to pay a gold or so each, thought I'd see how tough it was to find em in Giant clams.

Then tried Wetlands, out of the 5? So likely.. As someone mentioned. I'll try again and see if I was just lucky. Comment by Allakhazam Found these pearls in the instance dungeon in the Strand. I think both came off Snapclaw's.
