I play on the PS4, so there isn't really another option, but I don't think I could stand playing it ith a mouse and keyboard. Anything with heavy action I need a controller in my hand to be comfortable.
Just had to remap a few things and find the perfect level of sensitivity. Mouse and keyboard for the little I played. It seems like too fast a game to play with a controller when you're on PC. I found it much easier to control the characters in some of the jumping skill challenges when you had to execute quick wall runs several times in a row.
I thought the third option said "Flight Stick". That'd be something. Although, I guess it wouldn't be that strange when you're on an archwing mission. I play using mouse and keyboard and controller. Just depends what kind of mood im in. Sometimes I just want to sit back and relax with a controller as apposed to being hunched over a keyboard.
Out of curiosity, what kind of weapons do you controller-types tend to use? Once you have added friends, joining them on a mission simply means receiving an invite. Open the navigation menu and look at the icon to the right of your game name. Make sure that your game is set to Public, Friends Only, or Invite Only, otherwise, no one will be able to join you in-game. If someone invites you to a game, joining them is as simple as accepting the invite when it appears on your screen.
As for inviting friends to your game, it will differ from platform to platform. These options are detailed below. Friend invites are available early on in Warframe. I'm all about choice, but if you want what I consider to be the most optimal set up that the game supports - pointing and shooting would be easier then I'd say you should invest in a Razer gaming mouse.
That's what I think would be the best. Accurate to the pixel, lots of buttons to keep your left-hand from contorting around finding buttons, very useful to add a push-to-talk button to for voice comms, and it looks badass, too.
I use controllers on my PC for other games, but never shooters. I use pad also, I'm from the console generation tho, only been hardcore pc player for around a year. I try to play anything with a controller, feels better for me Only flaw is I have to use mouse for some menu activities.
